Durapac Toe Jacks - Railway on its Toes
This rail contractor had a requirement to assemble insulated track panels prior to the installation of a new track in tunnels. 24 Durapac DTJ-2.5 (2.5-tonne capacity) toe jacks were used to lift and lower the lengths of the rails onto the insulated pads so the levels could be set prior to assembly. These toe jacks provided an inexpensive alternative to purchasing track jacks for this purpose.
