Durapac KPL series Kevlar Power Lift Airbags: Rise to the Task
The Problem:
A major busy city transport bus workshop had an issue with lifting up buses in their pits, due to the low clearance height of the buses. To get stands or jacks underneath the correct supporting beams they needed a way of lifting the buses up enough. Many of the standard bottle jacks they assessed were too high.
The Solution:
The Durapac KPL series Kevlar Power Lift Airbags were the ideal solution to the problem as they were already using pneumatic tools which can be a safer option as opposed to electric or hydraulic systems. Airbags are compact and light weight for service vehicles, safe to operate remotely with a hand pendant control (also pneumatically controlled).
The Result:
The customer ordered several 25.2 tonnes (KPL25) and 33 tonnes (KPL33) airbags for the application. The majority of their standard buses tare weights were around 9.5 tonnes.
